Discussions and Analysis of Major Issues

Hadiza Wada, DBA (Author)  ...July 10, 2010

It is with humility, and immense gratitude to God for making this endeavor possible that we announce the completion and premier of our soon to be released book as titled above.  The timing could not have been better too, as Nigeria prepares for another round of elections.

The main goal, is in line with that of our weekly magazine “The Optimist Voice,” i.e. to inspire, motivate and subsequently inculcate a proactive and participative citizenry willing to speak up for the greater good of the country and its people.  At the same time able to stand up and take positive actions that will ensure a developed and prosperous society.

And as we say one of our goals is to also help redirect the leaders to the real issues, in order to assist them become more effective.  In the same breath however, we also tried to identify as much as possible the qualities to look for in leaders that one will allow to even make a showing in active politics, let alone get themselves into the line-up for possible elections.

In the soon to be released book, we featured some of the most important and topical issues that this publication “The Optimist Voice” took up and discussed.  We however endeavored to further expand the discussion with authentic figures and details of information from other scholars, books, journals and organizations such as statistical details from International organizations and local sources.

Apart from some of the issues we have discussed on the Optimist, we also featured other pertinent issues that will make the discussion well rounded and complete.  For example, we started with a chapter that set the pace for motivating the people.  We reminded them about the ample statistical evidences available that certify that their ancestors have made a lasting impact on the world and that they could do the same for their nation.  In the same breath we also brought to life the contributions of some of the nation’s past leaders, the lessons to be learned from them.  This we did by exemplifying, through their accomplishments, the real essence of leadership.

On national level we attempted to highlight areas that need the most attention, and what the issues are.  Without mincing words, we clarified the obstacles the nation faces, and wherever available, sources of possible resolution of such issues.
